LEBANON -- Memorial services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Fertig, 82, of Lebanon.

Born May 16, 1926, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Frank and Margarethea Mueller Fertig, he died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Pavillion CPC in Lebanon. A U.S. Navy veteran, he retired as Vice President of Operations at Temtex.  He also was a private pilot. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Services will be conducted by Rev. Robert Canterbury. 

He is survived by children Susan (Rev. Robert) Canterbury of Lebanon; and J. D. (Bonnie) Fertig of Gallatin. Also surviving are brothers Frank Fertig of Napomo, CA and Walter Fertig of North Grandby, MA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Jacquelyn S. "Jackie" Cummings Fertig on January 5, 2004; son Steven Fertig; sister Margaret Stone; and brother Albert Fertig.
