RETIRED FROM TENN HIGHWAY PATROL

MCMINNVILLE -- Graveside funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22 at the Mt. View Cemetery in Warren County for Mr. Smith of Nashville and formerly of Lebanon.

Born in McMinnville to the late Clark Barton and Amanda Louise Womack Smith, Mr. Smith died April 19, 2009 at his Nashville home.

Known as "Bob" to his family and friends, he was retired from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Mr. Smith was a member of the Church of Christ, the Masonic lodge, the THP Retired Officers Association, the Fraternal Order of Police and the American Association of State Troopers.

The family will receive friends 1-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Cumberland Funeral Home in Monteagle. Services will be conducted by Brother Wayne Simpson.

Survivors include: wife Renaye Campbell Smith of Nashville and children" Deborah (Tom) Atchley of Hendersonville, Sandra (Terry) Hubbard and Janice (Sidney) Cripps -- all of Lebanon, Vickie Bradley of Spring Hill and Kelly Smith of Nashville -- as well as six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
