LEBANON -- Funeral services are planned for 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30 at Hillcrest Baptist Church for Mr. Garrett, 53, of Lebanon. A self-employed electrician and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, he died Monday, April 27 at Nashville’s Baptist Hospital.

Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Partlow Funeral Chapel and Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Services will be conducted by Brother Glenn Denton.

Survivors include: wife Donna Johnson Garrett; mother Nelda Garrett and children Amy Garrett (Joshua) Warren, Juli Garrett (Mitch) Spain, Troy (Sarah) Wooden and Tonya Wooden Bond.

Also surviving are siblings Janice Yancey and Michael Sloan (Christy) Garrett; grandchildren Jonathon Rosshirt, Whitney Davis, Maravich Bond, Gabriel Garrett Spain, Catherine Warren, Micah Spain and Seth Wooden; as well as several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews; and special helper Frankie Shackleton.

Mr. Garrett is preceded in death by father James Ewing Garrett; sister Linda Garrett Patterson; nephew Stan Ballinger; grandparents Earl and Leona "Mama" Sloan and Walter and Evie Garrett.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers, the Nathan Kolbe Sunday School Class and the choir of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
