LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, May 4 at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church for Mr. Bailey, 77, of Lebanon.

A retired sales supervisor from Malone & Hyde, Mr. Bailey died May 2, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. A native of Wilson County, he was the son of the late Charlie W. and Pauline Phillips Bailey.

Services were conducted by Rev. Kevin Medlin and Rev. Billy Hill. Burial was at the Leeville Cemetery.

Survivors include: wife Helen Carney Bailey of Shop Springs and daughters Lisa (Paul) Crockett and Melanie (Jeff) Brown -- all of Lebanon; grandchildren Heather (Mark) Mitchell, John Michael Sewell and Bailey Brown -- all of Lebanon and great grandduaghter Eliza Grace Mitchell. Also surviving are siblings Dot (John) Carson of Mt. Juliet and Ed (Duvene) Bailey & Mike Bailey -- all of Watertown as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by grandson Nolan Jeffreies Brown, a brother and a sister.

Pallbearers: Keith Hamblen, Keith Carson, Kevin Carson, Tim Carney, Eric Carney, Charis Bailey and Lynn Bailey. Honorary: Fidelis Sunday School of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Memorials should be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Hunter Funeral Home, Watertown, was in charge of arrangements.
