NASHVILLE — A service celebrating the life of Rita Bennett-Crozall, 57, of Nashville, will be held at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 85 Fairway Drive, Nashville, 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 8.

Retired as executive vice-president and chief financial officer of Third National Corporation and Third National Bank, she died July 1, 2009. An 11 a.m. reception will follow the celebration service.

She was a graduate of Donelson High School, received a BBA degree in accounting from the University of Georgia and an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.

Mrs. Croxall was also a graduate of the School of Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin. She was a charter member of CABLE and served on many boards including Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, the Nashville Symphony, NCCJ and was a commissioner on the Metro Nashville Airport Authority.

She assisted Dr. Roy Elam III in implementing the Institute for Healing Arts at the YMCA in Maryland Farms. She participated in the organization of Nashville Bank and Trust, Belle Meade, and served on their board of directors.

She was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church where she served on the vestry and as treasurer for many years.

Services will be conducted by Rev. Vicki T. Burgess. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Philip’s Episcopal Church or the charity of one’s choice.

Survivors include her husband Steve Croxall, mother Nancy Quinn and an extended family including five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl D. Bennett.
