LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, July 11 at the Immanuel Baptist Church for Mrs. Paris, 93, of Lebanon. She passed away July 8, 2009, at Northside Health Care in Murfreesboro.

A retired bookkeeper for Rose’s Five & Dime on the Lebanon Public Square, she was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

Services were conducted by Rev. Barry Ellis.  Interment was in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include: sons  Ronald (Mary Neil) Paris of Murfreesboro, Leonard (Dineen) Paris of Tampa, FL, Brownie (Blackie) Paris of Lebanon. Also surviving are grandchildren Mike Paris of Murfreesboro, Keith Paris, of Trafalar, IN, Todd Paris of Murfreesboro, Jennifer Albrecht of Franklin, and Blake Paris of Lebanon; 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Leon Paris; parents, Houston and Hattie Taylor Byrn; brothers:  James Brantley Byrn and Erby Gray Byrn; sister, Doakie Hawkin.

Active pallbearers included grandsons and friends; honorary pallbearers:  Mrs. Paris’ Sunday School Class at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
