Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet for Mr. Hughes, 65, of Lebanon. A member of the West Hills Baptist Church, he died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. Juliet Road and Weston Drive. Services will be conducted by Brother Jonas Taylor. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include: his wife of 38 years Judy Hughes and children Barton Garrett (Kathy) Hughes; Jeffory Keith Hughes and Tonya Renee (Glenn) Carson. Also surviving are brothers Bobby (Luna) Hughes, Ronny (Pat) Hughes and Rick Hughes; grandchildren Gabriel and Samuel Hughes and Abby and Emma Carson; like a son Kris Brooks; numerous nieces and nephews and special caregiver Sherry Bilbrey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Rogers and Melba Faye Goff Hughes and his sister, Karen Hughes.
