Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Franklin, 52, of Lebanon. Mr. Franklin died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at the University Medical Center.

A Claims Advocate for Willis Insurance Group, he was a 1978 graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy, an Eagle Scout and a 1982 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Franklin was a member of College Hills Church of Christ and he received his certification as a Chartered Property Casuality Underwriter.

Visitation will be held Thursday between the hours of 3-7 p.m. and Friday from 3 p.m. until funeral services. Dr. Larry Locke and Brother Kevin Owen will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include: his wife of 28 years Ruth Franklin; daughter Rachel Franklin; mother Georgia Franklin; siblings Jeff Franklin, Andy (Monica) Franklin and Jennifer (Richard) Winfree as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Comer Anderson and Milbra Franklin; maternal grandparents, William Shirley and Lillian Hollis and his father Don Franklin.

Active pallbearers, Jeff Franklin, Andy Franklin, Jake Franklin, Joey Patton, Wayne Crafton and Paul O’Connor.

The family request contributions be made in Mr. Franklin’s memory to New Leash on Life, P.O. Box 247, Lebanon, 37088.
