MT. JULIET -- Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Lovvorn, 79, of Lebanon. A US Navy veteran and retired as the Financial Director for IKG Industries, he died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.

A member of Cooks United Methodist Church where he served as treasurer for 11 years, Mr. Lovvorn was Past President, Past National Director, Past Chairman of the Tennessee Valley Council and Emeritus Life Member of the Institute of Management Accountants. He served on the Tennessee Council for the Boy Scouts of America and was a member and Past President of the Mt. Juliet Breakfast Rotary Club. He was a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and had served as Assistant District Governor for Rotary District 6780.

Mr. Lovvorn was past chairman of the Wilson County Adult Education Advisory Council, former Secretary of the Wilson County Board of Zoning Appeals and Secretary/Treasurer of 911-Wilson County Emergency Communication District and had served on several other county boards. He was a Tennessee Squire and participated in various fundraisers for the Mt. Juliet Senior Citizen Center.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to service time Monday at Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. Juliet Road and Weston Drive.

Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Craig Goff and Pastor Lee Stephenson. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
 
Survivors include: his wife of 59 years Patricia A. Lovvorn; sons Al (Debbie) Lovvorn and Ashley Lovvorn; brother Floyd (Helen) Lovvorn. He is preceded in death by parents Johnny H. and Evie Williams Lovvorn and brothers Hugh and Leo Lovvorn.

Honorary pallbearers: Earl Beaty, the Mt. Juliet Breakfast Rotary Club, the Wilson County Adult Education Advisory Council and the 911-Wilson County Emergency Communications District Board of Directors.
