Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Van Pietersom, 87, of Lebanon. Retired co-founder and President of Commercial Engraving in Nashville, he died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Van Pietersom was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of Hickory Ridge Church of Christ.  Visitation Monday, Oct. 15 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Partlow Funeral Chapel; and Tuesday from 12 noon until the service. Interment will be at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife of 65 years, Jean Van Pietersom; daughters Sally (Bill) Cotten, Margie Harris and Betsy Walker (Richard Knoble); brother Jack (Jan) Van Pietersom; grandchildren Brent (Stephanie) Puryear, Shelly Puryear (Aaron) Moore, Joe Puryear, Abby Tisdale, Jenny Cotten (Nolan) McCue, Luke (Kristin) Puryear, Crystal Cotten (Michael) Randolph and Easton Stacy. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents, Walter and Clara Van Pietersom; sister Joyce Teague; and son-in-law Robert Harris.

Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to thank caregivers, Melany Cason and Annette Johnson as well as Odyssey Hospice.
