Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 at Watertown's Hunter Funeral Home for Dr. Thomas C. Parker, 88, of Lebanon. A veteran of the U.S. Navy with three years of service in the South Pacific during World War II, Dr. Parker died Wednesday morning, Nov. 14, 2012 at Lebanon's University Medical Center. Born in Dekalb County, he was the son of the late Alvie and Kate Curtis Parker. A 1942 graduate of Smithville High School, he attended Middle Tennessee State University and graduated dental school in Memphis in 1949. Dr. Parker practiced dentistry in Watertown for over 33 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lebanon. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday. Services will be conducted by Dr. Mike Ripski, Rev. David Hesson and Rev. Donald Owens. Burial will follow at the Lebanon's Wilson County Memorial Park. Survivors include: his wife Kathleen Hayes Parker; son, Joe Thomas (Cynthia) Parker granddaughters, Emily and Rachel Parker -- all of Lebanon. Pallbearers: Harry and Ralph Dunn, Jimmy and Don Hayes, Dr. John Lloyd and Dr. Wesley Suddarth. Arrangements by Watertown's Hunter Funeral Home. |
