Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. J.V. Walpole, 86, of Lebanon. A U.S. Navy veteran who served during World War II's Normandy Invasion, Mr. Walpole died Saturday Nov. 24, 2012 at the V.A. Hospital.

Retired from AVCO, he was the son of the late Horace and Sophie Price Walpole.

Visitation Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the services at the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include: sisters Christine Clinton and Jean Campbell; grandsons Scott Mitchell and Troy Davis; great granddaughter Amy Mitchell along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Ann Walpole; wives Virginia Gaston Walpole Dodd, Beulah Mae Walpole and Dorothy Jennings Walpole; along with siblings Ruby, Lilly, Edna and Buster; three nephews and a niece.

Active pallbearers will be family & friends.
