Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Clyde Neal Elmore, 79, of Lebanon.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a former Military Policeman, he died Dec. 22, 2012, at his home. Mr. Elmore served as Deputy Property Assessor for the late James Parton and retired as a Property Assessor for the State of Tennessee.

Born in Smith County to the late Haskell Elmore and Bessie Mofield Elmore Jastremski, Mr. Elmore was a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge #98 F&AM and was a Shriner. He attended Beckwith Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation Wednesday 2-8 p.m. and Thursday after 10 a.m. Masonic service will be held Wednesday 7 p.m.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Elmore was preceded in death by his wife of 50-years, Lorene Grisham Elmore; granddaughter Hailee Elmore; brothers Raymond and Howard Elmore.

Survivors include: children Pam (Mark) Will, Scott H. (Gina) Elmore and Terry (Renee) Elmore; sister Jewell Hight; sisters-in-law Nellie and Billie Jo Elmore, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted by Elder Danny Tomlinson. Interment will follow at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers include: Tony Elmore, Mark Hight, Wayne Drennon, John Roth, Steven Kraft and Donde Hood.
