Funeral services for Mr. McChurch will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22 at St. Stephen Catholic Community, 14544 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory.

A 2002 graduate of Friendship Christian School and a 2007 graduate of Cumberland University, the former football standout died Feb. 17, 2012 in a motor vehicle accident.

Services will be conducted by Father Pat Kibby. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include: wife Alexis Stevenson McChurch, son Jackson McChurch, parents Dan and Debbie McChurch, brothers Mitch McChurch and Connor McChurch along with grandparents Joan Hagge and Dave and Janet Cavanaugh. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Benjamin McChurch.

Active pallbearers will be Jeff Poling, David Deffendall, Doc Reese, Taylor Vandever, Cody McCray, Nolan McCue, Adam Nischwitz and Josh Stevenson. Honorary: Kelsey Evert, Chris Lewis, Michael Shaw, Mike Derdak, Wayne Grimes, Ken Lukens, Del Merrit, fellow Cumberland University football team members and fellow Cumberland University Sigma Alpha Epsilon Brothers.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made a college scholarship fund for Tyler’s son, Jack.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. (with a Vigil at 7 p.m.) Thursday at St. Stephen Catholic Community.
