A Celebration of Life service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9 at Lebanon's Westland United Methodist Church for Mrs. Kane, 70, of Lebanon.

Born Aug. 25, 1942 in Kenedy, Texas, she died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. The longtime Watertown resident was a homemaker, member of Westland United Methodist Church, Seekers Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women and a member of the local FCE Club. Mrs. Kane was active in civic activities for many years and was a founder of the Watertown Mile Long Yard Sale.

Saturday's celebration will be conducted by Rev. Bill Mulroy. Survivors include: her husband of 53 years, Bernie Kane of Lebanon; sons Dan Kane and wife, Angi of Mt. Juliet and Brody Kane and wife, Angel of Lebanon; daughters Mallorie Rector and husband, Garry of Cookeville and Stacey Taylor and husband, Cy of Wears Valley.

Also surviving is sister Doris Eige of Raleigh, NC; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pembroke and Annie Doris Touchstone and a sister, Ann Taylor. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Alive Hospice of Nashville, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203.

Watertown's Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
