WATERTOWN -- Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, December 29 at the Hunter Funeral Homefor Mr. Hight, 85, of Lebanon. A US Navy veteran of World War II and retired after 39 years as maintenance supervisor with the Nashville VA Hospital, he died Dec. 26, 2009 at Lebanon's University Medical Center. Born in the Norene Community to the late Ira and Rachel Taylor Hight, Mr. Hight was a lifetime member of the Fall Creek Baptist Church where he was an inactive deacon. He was a 1943 graduate of Watertown High School. Services were conducted by Rev. Billy Trice, Rev. Hunter Hay, Rev. Carl Price and Rev. Greg Bell. Burial was at the Fairview Cemetery. Survivors included: wife Ella Jean Harris Hight of Lebanon; son Paul (Dolores) Hight of Clinton; grandson Brad Hight, sister-in-law Ruth Hight of Lebanon along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Hilton, Clarence and Earl Hight. Active pallbearers: Ricky Hight, Phillip Hight, Max Hight, Stevie Hight, Butch Hight, Charlie Weaver, Curtis Dean Jennings and Robert Oldham. Honorary: active and inactive deacons of Fall Creek Baptist Church and Sunday School Class IV, Engineering Division of VA Hospital, John & Meg Buchanan, Bill & Ann Thornhill, Randall & Karen Hall, Monty & Beverly Granstaff, Michelle Lasater, Dr. Wayne Wells and staff. LEBANON -- Funeral services were conducted Monday morning, December 28 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Swain, 87, of Gladeville. A Wilson County native and retired from Mid-Cumberland Regional Transport Service, Mrs. Swain died Dec. 24, 2009 at her residence. Born June 18, 1922 to the late Samuel Wilson Robinson and Belle Drennon Robinson, she was a graduate of Lebanon High School and was a member of the Gladeville Church of Christ. Services were conducted by Brother Bill Speight and Brother Jason Swain. Interment was in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Survivors include daughter Marilyn (Tommy) Williams of Gladeville; grandsons Rob (Melanie) Williams of Gladeville and Kent Williams of Nashville; great grandsons R.T. and Hunter Williams of Gladeville; sisters Mary W. Swain of Gladeville, Martha Evans of Lebanon and Raye Overton of Nashville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Swain was preceded in death by her husband Robert Milton Swain; sister Edna Mae Todd and brother Sam Sherrill Robinson. Active pallbearers: Rob, R.T. and Kent Williams, Jason and Brian Swain, Nathaniel Stinson, Ben and Billy Buselmeier, Austin Johnson, James Stacy Todd and Jay White. Honorary: Darryl Robinson, Paul Wilson and James Edwin Swain, David Evans, Stewart and Steven Todd, Steve Stinson, John Dickinson, Joe Bomar, Ted Buselmeier and Jack White. LEBANON – Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30 at the Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mr. Buchanan, 72, of Lebanon. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a 36-year employee of Taylor Impressions, he died Dec, 25, 2009. Mr. Buchanan was a member of the Wilson County Beekeepers, Davidson County Master Gardeners and the Lebanon Senior Citizens’ Center. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at Sellars Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 49 years Ruth Ellen Brim Buchanan; children Cynthia (Mike) Sloan, Jeffrey (Mary Beth) Buchanan, Sheryl Buchanan and Donya (Jeff) Parker. Also surviving are siblings James (Peggy) Buchanan and Joyce (John) Dunn; grandsons Logan Buchanan, Matthew and Patrick Sloan and Matthew and Joshua Parker. Active pallbearers: John Dunn, Mark Dunn, Mack Hollis, Phillip Lea, Jeff Parker and Mike Sloan. LEBANON -- Mrs. Worley, 64, died December 23, 2009 at the home of her son in Lebanon. The widow of the late Robert Worley, she was the daughter of the late Reba Farley of Madison and John Fields of Millersville. The family will receive friends Sunday, Dec. 27 between the hours of 10 .m. - 2 p.m. at Wilson County Funeral Home, 618 South Maple Street. Service and interment at Wilson County Memorial Park will immediately follow the chapel service. Survivors include: Robby (Kim) Fields and grandchildren Chris and Ashley Fields; brother Johnny (Joy) Fields of Hendersonville and sisters Jerry Lynn (Pattie Coward) Duncan of Knoxville and Marie Fields (Rex Lyday) and aunt Billy McKinney -- all of Mt. LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, December 26 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Suddarth, 92, of Lebanon. A native of Wilson County and the daughter of the late John Oakley Walker and Drucilla Mason Waler, she died Wedensday, Dec. 23, 2009 at Cedars Health Care. A member of the Rocky Grove Baptist Church, she was a homemaker and the widow of the late Wallace Suddarth. The family will receive friends Saturday between the hours of 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by Elder Vernon Roark. Burial will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: step-children Damon and Carol Suddarth of Kentucky along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Suddarth is preceded in death by siblings Sam and Elder J.C. Walker, Minnie Lee Caruth, Chloe Hamilton, Lyda Whited and Sadie Watkins.
