MT. JULIET -- Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning, October 31 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Stamps, 103, of Mt. Juliet. A member and former Elder of Center Chapel Church of Christ, he died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009.

He was the son of the late, Samuel and Grace Fleming Stamps. Mr. Stamps was also preceded in death by his wife, Irene Logue Stamps; son, Ted Stamps; 7 brothers and sisters and 1 great-granddaughter.

Services were conducted by Brother Johnny Brown, Brother Darrell Duncan and Lynn McCulloch. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include: children Jimmy (Juanita) Stamps, Blanche (Johnny) Vannatta and Martha (Herman) Coleman; siblings Tommy Stamps and Frances Oliver; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Active pallbearers: Wendell Stamps, Wayne Stamps, Austin Stamps, Mark Coleman, Jim Coleman, Adam Sparks, Steve Stamps and Tony Stamps. Honorary: Elders and Deacons of Center Chapel Church of Christ, James Powell, Gary Sole, Glenn Helms, Tanner Simms, Tyler Simms and Robert Rhea.

Memorials may be made to the Center Chapel Church of Christ Building Fund, 9500 Central Pike, Mt. Juliet, 37122.

LEBANON — Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, October 31 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Cassetty, 61, of Lebanon.

An LPN at University Medical Center, she passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born September 6, 1948 in Wilson County, to the late Charles Hibdon and Ruby Massey Hibdon Buhler, she was a 1966 graduate of Lebanon High School and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mrs. Cassetty worked for Lux Clock for 21 years before starting nursing at McFarland Hospital in 1990.

Services were conducted by Rev. Michael Christian and Dr. George Robertson. Interment was in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include: her husband of 45 years Richard L. Cassetty; children Sherri Cassetty of Lebanon and Richard (Marsha) Cassetty, Jr. of Brentwood. Also surviving are grandchildren Ricky and Eddie Cassetty of Brentwood; siblings Gertrude (Tom) Hallums and James (Billie) Hibdon – all of Lebanon.

Active pallbearers: Dr. Roger McKinney, Dr. R. Shah, Dr. Steven Neeley, Fred Powers, Dr. Dewayne Lett and Bill Tarpley. Honorary pallbearers: doctors, nurses and staff of University Medical Center.

Memorial donations may be made to Sherry’s Run.

LEBANON –A Celebration of Life services will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday, November 1 at the Sellars Funeral Home for Mrs. Ingram, 79, of Lebanon. Born July 13, 1930, to the late John and Gracy Ferrell, Mrs. Ingram died October 28, 2009.

A longtime assistant to Dr. Ross Averitt and Dr. T.J. Gallaher in Lebanon, she was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

A memorial is planned for 3 p.m. with fellowship to follow until 5 p.m.

Survivors include children: Jenny (Robert) White of Liberty, Helen Weissinger of Lebanon and Wayne "Buddy" (Lisa) Ingram of Carthage and Lebanon. Also surviving are grandchildren: Robert (Erica) White, Jr. of Oahu, Hawaii; Heather McAvoy of Murfreesboro, Tyler Ingram of Cookeville, Anna Weissinger and Jacob Ingram — both of Lebanon; great-grandchildren Sawyer and Grace Ann McAvoy of Murfreesboro.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wilson County Public Library, Lebanon or Alive Hospice, Nashville.

OLD HICKORY – Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, October 28 at the Hermitage Memorial Gardens for Mrs. Kent, 90, of Mt. Juliet. The widow of the late Cordell Kent, Sr., she died Oct. 26, 2009.

Survivors include sons Larry Lee (Linda) Kent and M. C. Kent, Jr.; grandchildren Michelle Delise (Billy) Hicks, Lisa Dawn (Jack) Erdley and Marshall C. Kent III; along with five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by sister Edna Kent.

Pallbearers: Larry Kent, M. C. Kent, Jr., Marshall Kent III, Jack Erdley, Billy Hicks and B. J. Hicks.

Hermitage Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LEBANON -- A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 31 at Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mr. Taylor, 76, of Mt. Juliet.

A member of the First Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the US Army, he died Sunday, October 25, 2009.  Mr. Taylor was a graduate of Western Kentucky University.

Fellowship with the family will be at the funeral home immediately following the service.  Memorial contributions are requested in his name to any rescue mission, church, or charity of your choice.

Survivors include wife Kathleen Taylor of Mt. Juliet and daughters Jacquelyn "Jackie" (Mike) Taylor Mounsey of Brentwood and Jennifer (Joe) Taylor Wallace of Old Hickory. Also surviving: sister Barbara Snowden of Owensboro, KY; and grandchildren Curtis Taylor Beekley and Taylor Austin Wallace.

He is preceded in death by parents Joe Tom and Tabitha Kirk Taylor.
