OLD HICKORY -- Funeral services were conducted Monday morning, August 24 at the Hermitage Funeral Home for Mrs. Pond, 65, of Mt. Juliet. She died Aug. 21, 2009. Services were conducted by Rev. Russ Stephens. Interment followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: children Doug Pond, Vallerie (Doug) Manning; grandson Daniel Jenkins; granddaughter Amberly Stewart; great-grandchildren Katelyn, Ashton, Hannah; brother Morris (Donna) Pate; devoted friends Traci Gentry, Jeffrey and Hanna. Mrs. Pond was preceded in death by husband, James Pond. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Hermitage Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |

LEBANON -- Mr. Campbell passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 at his residence at the age of 66. A veteran of the US Air Force and an electrical engineer, he was a member of the Raleigh (NC) First Church of the Nazarene. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, August 16, at at Raleigh First Church of the Nazarene 1329 Highway 70 West Garner, NC. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time at the church. Pastor Brian Powell will officiate. Survivors include: father Rev. Francis Crandall of New Hampshire; his wife of 45 years Grace Crandall; sons Tim (Vielallar) Crandall of Bethpage, Tom Crandall and Ted (Karen) Crandall -- both of Mt. Juliet. Also surviving are brothers Bob Crandall of Florida and John (Rhona) Crandall of New Hampshire; grandchildren Caitlinn, Celseay, Carley, Hailey and Evie; great-grandchild Aiden; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Crandall is preceded in death by his mother Mildred Crandall. Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements. |

From Post staff reports A parade of motorcycles from area biker’s clubs has been planned for Saturday morning, Aug. 15 as a tribute to the life of Chris Price, 37 of Lebanon, who died Aug. 6 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Atlanta, Ga. The parade route will start at Five Oaks Golf and Country Club and continue east on Highway 70 to South Hartmann Drive then on to Leeville Pike to College Hills Church of Christ, the site of the funeral. |

LEBANON -- Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 15 at the College Hills Church of Christ for Mr. Christopher Michael Price, 37, of Lebanon. A native of Wilson County and employed with Centecor, a division of Johnson & Johnson, "Chris" died Aug. 6, 2009 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born Aug. 28, 1972, Mr. Price was also in the custom home construction business. A graduate of Lebanon High and Middle Tennessee State University, he was a dedicated member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., a member of the Nashville-based Steel Horsemen, a former All-OVC baseball player for the Blue Raiders and played professional baseball for the Kansas City Royals organization. The family will receive friends Friday, August 14 between the hours of 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the services at College Hills Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted by Bishop A.J. Valentine. Burial will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: his devoted wife Marsha D. Price; children Trey, Frankie, Morgan and Kristin; and father William "Mike" (Rochell) Price. Also surviving is brother Jamil Price; mother-in-law Helen Ivey; sister / brother-in-law Rick and Michele Frazier; uncles Wayne Reynolds (Marie), Frank Rashed, Bill Reynolds (Gloria), Tony Hughes (Mattie), Glenn Reynolds (Tammy); special aunt Lynn Reynolds; niece Ivey Frazier; nephew Rod Frazier; special cousin Franquita Hughes; lifelong friends Adrian Kelly and Cyrus Hancock; a plethora of great aunts, cousins, church family, relatives, and other dear friends whom he loved dearly. GLADEVILLE -- Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, August 13 at Gladeville United Methodist Church for Mrs. Evans, 71, of Lebanon. A Sunday school teacher and devoted member of Gladeville United Methodist Church, she died at home Monday, Aug. 10, 2009 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Mrs. Evans and her husband (Raymond) sold vegetables for over 25 years at Nashville area churches as part of Food Fairs. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Gladeville United Methodist Church and Thursday, Aug. 13 from 9 am until service time. One of Mrs. Evans’ requests was for everyone to wear casual clothes for her visitation and funeral -- no suits or ties, please. Survivors include: her husband of 41 years Raymond Evans, children Julie (David) Walker, Katie (Hunter) Henson, Ray (Linda) Evans and Haskell (Tonya) Evans -- all of Lebanon, grandchildren Trey, Cody and Lexi Walker, Evan and Emma Kate Henson; Cory and Ethan Evans; Wyatt and Christine Evans. She is also survived by siblings Dora (Bud) Ferguson, Jean Spillers, Bobby (Helene) Lassiter and Tony (Carolyn) Lassiter. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
