MT. JULIET -- Mrs. East, 84, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 in the hospital following an illness with her family at her bedside. Born April 5, 1925 in Coeburn, VA, Mrss. East spent many years in Warriormine, WV serving her community and cooking for Big Creek High School where the cafeteria was named in her honor after 40 years of service. She lived in West Virginia for many years with her late husband, William "Bill" East and had lived for the past several years in Mt. Juliet where she was a member of the Mt. Juliet Church of God. Her final resting place will be Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. A private service for the family will be held. Survivors include daughters, Billie (Coburn) Kennedy and Dorothy (Boyd) Rutherford, sister Charolette Willias, four granddchildren and their spouses, two great-grandchildren and one more on the way. There is also a host of family, friends and a loving neighbor. Nannie was preceded in death by her husband, mother, grandparents, two brothers and one sister. LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, July 11 at the Immanuel Baptist Church for Mrs. Paris, 93, of Lebanon. She passed away July 8, 2009, at Northside Health Care in Murfreesboro. A retired bookkeeper for Rose’s Five & Dime on the Lebanon Public Square, she was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Services were conducted by Rev. Barry Ellis. Interment was in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: sons Ronald (Mary Neil) Paris of Murfreesboro, Leonard (Dineen) Paris of Tampa, FL, Brownie (Blackie) Paris of Lebanon. Also surviving are grandchildren Mike Paris of Murfreesboro, Keith Paris, of Trafalar, IN, Todd Paris of Murfreesboro, Jennifer Albrecht of Franklin, and Blake Paris of Lebanon; 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Leon Paris; parents, Houston and Hattie Taylor Byrn; brothers: James Brantley Byrn and Erby Gray Byrn; sister, Doakie Hawkin. Active pallbearers included grandsons and friends; honorary pallbearers: Mrs. Paris’ Sunday School Class at Immanuel Baptist Church. Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |

LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternnon, July 14 at the the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Trusty, 79, of Lebanon. Retired from Hartmann Luggage Company and a an avid gardner, she passed away at the home of her daughter Saturday, July 11, 2009. The daughter of the late Frank and Hallie Belle Judkins Mitchell, Mrs. Trusty was a Baptist and enjoyed fishing and cooking with her family. Services were conducted by Brother Greg Moser. Interment was at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: daughters Jan (Ronny) Franklin, Donna Brack and Rita (Terry) Maxwell. Also surviving is sister Genell Walls; grandchildren Donald (Barbara) Barnes, Rhonda Morgan, Dawn Grisham, Troy (Charity) Franklin, Josh (Dana) Maxwell, Matt Maxwell; great grandchildren Dustin McCulloch, Amber Grisham, Luke McCulloch, Dylan McCulloch and Lindsey Grisham. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Henry Halton Trusty and brother John Ronald Mitchell. Mrs. Trusty’s grandsons, sons-in-law and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements by Partlow Funeral Chapel. |

CELINA — Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, July 12 at the Upton Funeral Home in Clay County for Mr. Smith, 34, of Lebanon. Formerly of Clay County, he passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009. The family will be receiving friends Friday from 4-9 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway; Saturday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. until the funeral at the Upton Funeral Home, W. Lake Ave, Celina. Sunday afternoon’s service will be conducted by Brother Daniel Stirnemann. Interment will follow in the McDonald Cemetery. Survivors include parents Eddie R. and Darlene Abney Smith of Lebanon; daughter Tessa Reanne Smith; grandparents Jim and Christine Smith; aunts Juanita Smith and Judy Smith; uncles Richard Abney, John Abney, Jammie Smith, Wayne Smith, Phillip Smith, Thomas Smith and Bobby Smith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friend Penny Killman. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by grandparents George A. and Auda Abney and Milton T. "Tobe" and Effie Roach and uncle Billy Ray Smith. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
