LEBANON -- Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday June 27 at the Partlow Chapel for Mr. Cox, 83, of Lebanon. A member of the Church of God, a minister, and former employee of both the Lebanon Woolen Mills and the City of Lebanon, Mr. Cox died Wednesday June 24, 2009 at the Quality Health Care Center. Visitation Friday 2 - 7 p.m. at the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Services will be conducted by Brother Gordon Lee and Brothe Bernie Zeilsdorf. Interment will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Survivors include: wife Lura Belle Cox; children Nathan (Susie) Cox and Barbara (Jerry) Dies. Also surviving are sisters Dorothy Scoggins, Zettie (Bill) Hamlett and Vera (John) Wrye; grandchildren: Randy (Lisa) Dies, Shane (Jill) Dies, Valerie Jean McGhee and Steven Cox; stepchildren Sue (Johnny) Broussard, Gayle Surrat and Jimmy Forsyth; step- grandchildren Michael D. Smith, Racheal A. Smith, Penny Pogue, Kenny Broussard, Tammy (Jay) Makatche, Sheree (Dale) Heiflin, Chrystal (Juan) Hernandez, Tina (Billy) Hayes, Ken Surrat and Teresa Bane; numerous great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents George S. and Ruth Violet Kirby Cox; sons Melvin L. Cox and Riley Irvin "Snaze" Cox; brothers James R. Cox, Charles H. Cox, David Cox and Wayne Cox. LEBANON – Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Boyd, 41, of Lebanon. Born November 5, 1967, in Davidson County, she died June 23, 2009. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker and attended Nashville College. She was a member of the Church of Christ. The family will receive friends Friday 4-8 p.m. and Saturday after 9 a.m. Services will be conducted by Brother Julious Hovan. Interment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison. Survivors include: husband Michael Brent Boyd; children Maegan and Brett Bullard of Mt. Juliet, Dylan and Brent Boyd of Lebanon; parents Kenneth and Patricia Rippy Wills of Lebanon. Also surviving are sisters: Sharon Hicks, Juanita Hawks and Donna Wills — all of Lebanon; half-sisters: Susan Rohrer, Lisa Gleason and a brother Kenny Wills — all of Spokane, Washington. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dee Dee Wills. Pallbearers will be Brett Bullard, Dylan and Brett Boyd, Bill Wilson, Rick Hicks and Brandon Collier. LEBANON – Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, June 26 at the Sellars Funeral Chapel on the Baddour Parkway for Mrs. Brown, 89, of Lebanon. Know as "Bea" to her family and friends, she passed away June 24, 2009. The family will be receiving friends Friday from 10 a.m. until the funeral. Services will be conducted by Brother Danny Sellars. Interment will follow in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery, Boma. Survivors include: children Shirley Brown Robinson and Charles Kenneth Brown; siblings Dowlene Moscato, Katherine Hawkins and James (Marie) Roberts; grandchildren Cindy Robinson, Cassie (Donn) Fishbein, Christy Neese and Charles Howard Brown; great-grandchildren Jacob Fishbein and Sara Fishbein; friends Dee Polidoro and Shannon Neese; and her little puppy PeeWee. MT. JULIET – Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, June 26 at the Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet for Mr. Elliott, 63. Known as "Jerry" to his family and friends, he was born January 18, 1938, and died Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Visitation Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral. Services will be conducted by Brother Todd Elliott. Burial will follow at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Survivors include: father John Elliott; sister Jessie (Joe) Chalfin and brother Jack (Diane) Elliott. LEBANON -- Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Whitley, 60, of Lebanon. A hairdresser and a member of the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, she died Tuesday June 23, 2009 at her residence. Visitation will be Wednesday between the hours of 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the funeral. Services will be conducted by Brother John Petree and Donnie Bain. Interment follows at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
