LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, July 16 at the Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mrs. Britt, 63, of Lebanon. A vendor at the Wilson County Fair for 27 years, she passed away on July 12, 2009.

The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon Wednesday, July 15, between the hours of 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until funeral.

Services will be conducted by Brother Danny Sellars.

Survivors include husband of 30 years James "Bobby" Britt; children Tony Waddell, Angela Dove, Jeff Waddell and Peggy Moulin. Also surviving are grandchildren: April Collins, D.J. Thorp, Nigel Waddell, James Waddell, and Tasha Moulin; five great-grandchildren and good friends: Tommy and Carla Kilburn.

She is preceded in death by sister Peggy Jo Crowder. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the family.

LEBANON -- Memorial services are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Kurko, 98, of Lebanon.

Formerly of Mansfield, Ohio and member of the Ontario Christian Fellowship Church in Ontario, OH, she died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Quality Health Care Center. She was the owner of a candy company.

Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Partlow Chapel. Interment will take place in the Mansfield Memorial Park in Mansfield, OH.

Survivors include: daughter Dorothy Nagy; grandchildren Susan Ferrell, Robert (Roberta) Nagy, Julius Nagy, Ernest (Janet) Nagy; great grandchildren Ernest Julius Nagy, Sara Nagy, Christie (Craig) Finch, Ashley Nagy, Sean Nagy, Michael Lippert and Lisa Lippert Ford; along with five great, great grandchildren.

Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

MT. JULIET -- Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 17 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet for Mr. Underwood, 78, of Cookeville. Born July 13, 1931 in Tishomgo, MS, he died July 13, 2009 in Cookeville after complications from a long-term illness.

Mr. Underwood was retired from Rand-McNally and the US Postal Service. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Black Angus Society.

The son of the late Hector Lee and Hattie Mae Underwood, he enjoyed sports, NASCAR and had a special love for wildlife.

Visitation with the family will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by sister Bess (Phil) Shockley; daughter Pamela Underwood; son Michael (Becky) Underwood; granddaughters Jennifer (Rickey) Norvil and Katherine (John) Childres; great-grandchildren Ryan and Tyler Norvil and Harley and Jolynn Childres; nine nieces and nephews; and many other beloved family members.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Heritage Point, Cookeville Hospital (6 East Staff), Kelly Tayes and the many caretakers and friends who provided loving and considerate care for Mr. Underwood.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Vivian Lossman and Verna Smith.

Active pallbearers will include: Scotty Miller, Rickey Norvil, Phil Shockley, John Childres, Joe Robison and Larry Mauldin.

WATERTOWN -- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, July 14 at the Hunter Funeral Home for Mr. Hale, 74, of Alexandria.  Born in DeKalb County, he died July 12, 2009 at the University Medical Center in Lebanon.

A retired factory worker, Mr. Hale was a member of the Watertown Church of Christ and the son of the late Selmer D. and Bettie Ferrell Hale.

Services were conducted by Rev. Jimmy Stnip with burial at the Gunter Cemetery.

Survivors include: sisters Bea (Kenneth) Christian of Watertown, Lucille Ferrell of Alexandria and Dellia Mae (Richard) Poston of Smithville as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Annie Murphy Hale, sister Daisy Murphy and brothers Selmer Ray, Harrison Lee and Selmer D. Hale Jr.

Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MT. JULIET -- Mrs. East, 84, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 in the hospital following an illness with her family at her bedside.

Born April 5, 1925 in Coeburn, VA, Mrss. East spent many years in Warriormine, WV serving her community and cooking for Big Creek High School where the cafeteria was named in her honor after 40 years of service.

She lived in West Virginia for many years with her late husband, William "Bill" East and had lived for the past several years in Mt. Juliet where she was a member of the Mt. Juliet Church of God.

Her final resting place will be Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. A private service for the family will be held.

Survivors include daughters, Billie (Coburn) Kennedy and Dorothy (Boyd) Rutherford, sister Charolette Willias, four granddchildren and their spouses, two great-grandchildren and one more on the way. There is also a host of family, friends and a loving neighbor.

Nannie was preceded in death by her husband, mother, grandparents, two brothers and one sister.
