Editor’s Note: The following letter was sent to Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto and sent to The Wilson Post as well by Mr. Gilchrist. To the Editor: Dear Mayor Hutto: Thank you for your thorough response to my plea for help regarding my “cat attack” situation. I am grateful for your follow-through and the effort you put into seeing the problem from my point of view. Your diligence in discussing the problem with the director of Wilson County Animal Control, and also with members of the county commission, has brought the much-needed changes to help citizens who may well be faced with a situation similar to mine.I brought a serious problem to your attention; you researched it and came up with a suitable solution at very low cost to the taxpayers. This is how good government should work. It seems a shame that folks in Nashville and Washington, D.C. cannot find a way to work as well as does Wilson County. I thank you again for reinforcing my belief in good government. Jim Gilchrist |
