The reason the lane closures are being called possible at this time, she said, is TDOT officials are still working to get some permitting in place before the project can officially begin. The permitting issues may or may not be obtained before Monday.
When the work gets under way, the lane closures will be from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
The $65 million road widening project is to begin soon and is to be completed in December 2013. One lane will be added on each side of the interstate meaning the roadway will be three lanes wide heading east and west from Mt. Juliet Road to Hwy. 109.
Lane Construction was awarded the bid for the job.
