NASHVILLE -- Funeral services will be conducted 12 Noon, Friday, February 13 at the Baha’i Faith Community Center, 1556 Bell Road, for Mrs. Thorson, 92, of Mt. Juliet.
The daughter of the late Walker and Opal Boroughs Morgan, she died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Thorson graduated Sherwood School of Music and later, Seattle Pacific College. She lived a full and productive life as a wife, mother, classroom teacher and active member of the Baha’i Faith. She devoted her life to education, whether in a public school, tutoring neighborhood children or teaching Baha’i children’s classes. The burial will be private.
Survivors include: her husband of 62 years Theodore Thorson; daughter Janine (Wayne) Ray; granddaughters Lily Ray and Lea (Tracy Feldman) Ray; sister Dorothea (Wells) Brocklehurst; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers Keith, Max, Roger and Gilbert Morgan, and sister Rhea Shorts.
