Philip Grayson Cullum Sr.
NASHVILLE -- Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning, Jan. 1, 2011, at the Jackson Park Church of Christ for Mr. Cullum, 93, of Nashville.
Born July 25, 1917, in Davidson County to the late Edward G. Cullum and Goldie Binkley Cullum, he died Dec. 29, 2010, at his residence.
Office manager for the J.L. Perry Company in Nashville for over 35 years, Mr. Cullum was a talented singer, participating in many vocal groups through the years.
He was a song leader in the Churches of Christ for over 50 years, having traveled Middle Tennessee with Ministers singing at many Gospel Meetings.
He attended the Jackson Park and Rivergate Churches of Christ.
Interment was in Madison's Spring Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife of over 69 years, Grace Smythe Cullum; children Philip Grayson (Carolyn) Cullum, Jr. of Lexington, KY and Joyce (Edmond) Rucker of Thompson Station.
Also surviving are five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cullum is preceded in death by siblings Vivian Parks, Marjorie Watson, Aline Lawson, Kathryn Ritchie, Lucille Garrett and Rosseau Cullum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice or the Wayne Reed Christian Child Care Center.
