WATERTOWN -- Two stellar pitching performances helped lift Watertown High to a baseball / softball sweep over Lancaster Christian Academy Monday afternoon at Three Forks Park.
Lefthander Dusty Meador went three and a third innings on the mound, striking out seven, as the Purple Tigers mashed Lancaster Christian 13-1.
Meador eventually gave way to Robert Caruthers and Justin Johnson in the five inning contest.
Meador enjoyed a solid day at the plate, ripping four hits and driving in three runs.
Ninth grader Seth Price had two hits and two RBI. Cameron Jennings drove in a run with a hit.
The Purple Tigers scored six runs in the second and put the game away with seven in the fourth.
Watertown is scheduled to play in the Coyote Wood Bat Classic this week in Montgomery County.
On Thursday, the Tigers will play Jo Byrns in a 3 p.m. game at Clarksville High.
Two games are on tap Friday at Clarksville Academy -- a 3 p.m. game vs. East Robertson and a 7:30 p.m. contest with host CA.
On Saturday, WHS will close out pool play with an 11 a.m. game against Sycamore at West Creek.
Tigerettes 15, Lancaster 0
Watertown senior Tiffany Tomlinson threw a three-inning perfect game Monday as the Tigerettes crushed Lancaster Christian 15-0. Tomlinson struck out eight of the nine batters she faced in the mercy rule shortened game.
Watertown scored all the runs they would need with a five-spot in the bottom of the first inning. They tacked on a three runs in the second inning, and seven more in the the third.
Shelby Hamlet and Bailey Griffin each had two while Mallory Josey, Leanna Warren and Emily Gleason had one hit each.
Watertown plays at Lebanon Wednesday at 2 p.m.
