PORTLAND -- Friendship Christian improved to 5-4 on the season after an 8-6 extra innings win at Portland Wednesday.
Tana Whited and Brittney Petry each drove in runs in the top of the eight as the Lady Commanders improved to 5-4 on the season.

Courtney Petty worked seven innings to get the decision, striking out six Portland hitters. Kendall Kelsh retired the side in the bottom of the eighth for the save.

Whited paced the offense with four hits and three RBI.

Smyrna 9, Wilson Central 5
SMYRNA -- Wilson Central's softball team slipped to 8-7 on the season following Tuesday's 9-5 loss at defending Class AAA state champion Smyrna.
Wilson Central got on the board in the top of the first inning when Kelsey Tomlin was hit by a pitch, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Keily Preston, and scored on an RBI single by Katie Eakes.
The Lady Bulldogs broke open a close 3-2 contest with five runs in the bottom of the fourth to take an 8-2 lead.
WCHS was able to push three runs across in the sixth inning when Morgan Powell, Brittany Wiseman and Claire Smith all reached base safely and scored.
Eakes and Wiseman each had two hits for Central, while Tomlin, Powell, Claire and Karlie Odum each added hits.

Lebanon 11, Gallatin 1
Lebanon High cranked out 13 hits to run-rule District 9-AAA rival Gallatin 11-1 Tuesday, March, 18.
Brooke McClendon and Sarah Aubuchon each drilled three hits while Hannah Simmons added two more with three RBI. Kasey Squires got the win, striking out four, allowing seven hits.
Lebanon moved to 5-2 with the win.
