MT. JULIET -- Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 11 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Stovall, 74, of Mt. Juliet.
A veteran of the US Air Force, he died Sunday, May 8, 2011.
Mr. Stovall was a member of Donelson Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a member of PFLAG (Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays) and the Tennessee Equality Project.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service Wednesday at Bond Memorial Chapel.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Chris Sanders, Rev. Alicia Burton and Rev. Donald Shockley. Interment with military honors will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at Bells Run Cemetery, Whitesville, KY.
Survivors include: wife Gayle Stovall of Mt. Juliet; sons H.G. Stovall and his partner Harry Longfellow of Nashville and Shawn Stovall of Owensboro, KY; daughter Elizabeth Ann Smith of Calhoun, KY; siblings: Teddy A. (Katie) Stovall and Anthony (Jaynie) Stovall -- both of Kuttawa, KY and sister Mary E. (Jim) Doom of Utica, KY.
Mr. Stovall was preceded in death by his parents Robert L. and Elizabeth Oliver Stovall.
