LEBANON -- A memorial service has been planned for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 28 at the Faith Lutheran Church for Mr. Schwartz, 58, of Lebanon.

Born in Painesville, Ohio on November 8, 1952, Rob graduated from Tates Creek High School in Lexington where he was a member of the wrestling team and high school band.
He attended Transylvania University and Morehead State University, where he was involved in soccer and music programs.
He worked as a professional musician throughout his adult life, playing the drums in Lexington (with bands including Ol Dad), in other cities, and on national tour. He played the drums under the name of Bob Barnes during the 16 years that he lived in Tennessee.
In addition to his passion for the drums and all music, he adored Basset Hounds and loved to laugh. He enjoyed reading, and treasured time outdoors in state parks and forests, especially near lakes and rivers.
He will be fondly remembered for a full and colorful life prior to his stroke and the nobility, acceptance, strength, and courage he displayed in the four years which followed.
Visitation will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Lebanon August 28 beginning at 1:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service.
Pastor Matt Steinhauer will officiate, concluding with a reception in the fellowship hall.
