LEBANON 10, WHITE CO. 2 LEBANON -- Sophomore right-hander Trevin Potter went the distance Tuesday night as Lebanon defeated District 7AAA rival White County 10-2 in high school baseball action at Veterans Field. LHS improved to 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in the district. White County dropped to 4-4 overall / 0-3 in the league. The teams are scheduled to play the back end of the two-game series Wednesday night in Sparta. Lebanon’s Veterans Field will be a host site for the 2009 Riverdale Warriors Spring Classic. Friendship Christian will play Centennial Thursday at 4 p.m. followed by Lebanon vs. Centennial at 6:30 p.m. Friday at 3 p.m. FCS will play Cookeville; Cookeville plays Bearden at 5:30 p.m. followed by Lebanon vs. Bearden at 8 p.m. Four games are set for Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. Mt. Juliet High improved to 6-5 on the season and a perfect 4-0 in District 9AAA Tuesday with a lopsided 11-2 wil at LaVergne High. Jake Harper (2-0) picked up the decision with six inning of work -- scattering seven hits and striking out four. Logan Dalton belted a three-run homer in the top of the fifth for the Bears while Ethan Gross had three hits. Mt. Juliet will host Dyer County Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Riverdale Warriors Spring Classic. Friendship Christian School upped its record to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in District 8A Tuesday night with a 6-0 win over Gordonsville at Crump Paris Park in South Carthage. Jordan Dennis (3-0) threw a four-hitter, striking out a dozen Tiger batters, He walked one. FCS took advantage of seven Gordonsville errors in the game. Lee Maasen had two hits for the Commanders, a double and a triple. |
