BEARS REMAIN UNDEFEATED MT. JULIET -- The Golden Bears improved to 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in District 9AAA Thursday with a 35-3 victory over Wilson Central. Mt. Juliet led 14-3 at intermission, then stretched the margin out with three second half scores. Quarterback Reed Gurchiek completed 8-of-16 passes for 95 yards, three for TDs to Vaughn Cornelia and two more to Chris Brazile. Wilson Central (0-8 / 0-5) got its only points on a 51-yard field goal by Jackson Redditt. The victory snapped Mt. Juliet's five-year losing streak to the Wildcats.
