FCS IMPROVES TO 37-18

LEBANON -- Led by tournament MVP Kaitlyn Teeter, Friendship Christian School defeated Red Boiling Springs 3-1 Tuesday for the District 8A volleyball tournament championship at the Bay Family Sportsplex.

The region tournament opens Tuesday at the home site of the District 7A champion.

Game scores were: 25-23, 25-21, 22-25 and 25-8 as the Lady Commanders improved to 37-18 overall.

Teeter, a ninth grader, had 20 kills against RBS. Whitley Rowlett had 33 assists and three kills while Taylor Drake had eight kills and a pair of blocks. Traci Allison had seven kills and an ace for the winners.

Rowlett and Allison joined Teeter on the all-tournament team.

FCS reached the tournament finals with a 3-0 sweep of Trousdale County in the semis.
