Wilson Central’s boys and girls bowling teams are returning to the TSSAA state tournament Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Smyrna Bowling Center.

The Central boys won their sectional match Monday over Hendersonville by a 19-8 score at Hermitage Lanes.  The WC girls won their sectional match Saturday at Hermitage with an 18-9 victory, also over Hendersonville.

This makes the Lady Wildcats fourth consecutive state tournament appearance, and five of the last six. Central finished as state runner-up twice -- in 2007 and 2009. The Wildcats also finished as state runners-up last year.

Wilson Central also has seven bowlers who have advanced to the Individual Division of the State Tournament. Boys include: senior JR Clemons 217 average; junior Chris Branner 205; senior Geremy Roseti 202; junior Seth Carey 199. Girls: senior Brennan Page 200 average; junior Danielle Chaffin  192 and junior Kirstin Page 190.
