WCHS DOWNS LEBANON -- Down nine at intermission, Wilson Central made a third quarter run a defeated Lebanon 49-42 Thursday at Campbell Brandon Gymnasium.
The win upped Central's District 9AAA record to 7-3 and 11-9 overall. LHS slipped to 14-8 on the season / 5-5 in league play.
The Lady Wildcats clawed their way back into the game and tied the contest at 32-all with 7:28 remaining in the fourth quarter. Central had outscored LHS 9-2 in the third period.
Ieshia Hassell paced Central with 18 points, and Sydney Vanlandingham knocked down 10-of-13 free throws and finished with 16.
Julia Fox had 13 for Lebanon and Marissa Jennings had eight before fouling out in the fourth quarter.
LHS is scheduled to host Station Camp Tuesday while Wilson Central will entertain Gallatin.

FCS DEFEATS GORDONSVILLE -- Down 13-10 after one, Friendship Christian's Lady Commanders went on a 26-6 second quarter binge and won 57-39 at Gordonsville Thursday night.
FCS improved to 8-13 overall and 5-1 and District 8A with the victory.
Soph guard Andi Morrisett had 20 for Friendship while Kaitlyn Teeter had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
FCS will visit Red Boiling Springs Tuesday night.

TIGERETTES FALL AT MONTEREY -- Watertown's Tigerettes saw an eight-point fourth quarter lead slip away and lost 38-35 in overtime at Monterey Thursday.
Watertown fell to 6-14 overall, despite 14 points from Morgan Gartner.
Watertown is scheduled to play at Eagleville Saturday night, but the impending weather threatens that match-up.

MJ HAMMERS PORTLAND -- No. 2-ranked Mt. Juliet rolled to a 71-9 win at Portland Thursday night -- holding the Lady Panthers scoreless in the second half.
The Lady Bears improved to 21-1 and a perfect 10-0 in District 9AAA.
Caya Williams had 22 points and Britt Bell 13 for the winners.
Mt. Juliet will play at Beech High Tuesday.

DCA VS. MJCA -- Mt. Juliet Christian Academy's Friday night home game vs. DCA has been postponed. A decision will be made on tomorrow's game by noon tomorrow.  The make up game with DCA will be announced on Monday.
