Tuesday, February 2, 2010

From Post staff reports
Not wanting to see their basketball schedules fall too far behind due to weather, several Wilson County schools have opted for mid-week games.

Lebanon High will host District 9AAA rival Station Camp Wednesday at Campbell Brandon Gymnasium while Wilson Central entertains Gallatin in Gladeville. Both doubleheaders are set for 6:30 p.m. starts. Mt. Juliet High will visit Shackle Island on Thursday for a 9AAA twinbill vs. Beech High.

FCS visits RBS Wednesday -- Friendship Christian will travel to Red Boiling Springs today for a 3 p.m. doubleheader vs. the Bulldog teams. Tuesday’s scheduled games were moved to today because of the weather.

MJCA plays Wednesday -- Mt. Juliet Christian Academy will play at Currey Ingram in Brentwood Wednesday afternoon in a 4:30 p.m. doubleheader -- rescheduled from Monday night.  On Friday night, Riverside Christian comes to Mt. Juliet for a 6 p.m. twin bill at MJCA.

WHS games moved -- Watertown’s Tuesday night home doubleheader with Monterey has been moved to Monday, Feb. 8.
“Sometimes it’s easier to go on the road,” said Watertown principal / girls coach Jeff Luttrell. “Tuesday morning our parking lot and sidewalks were still a mess -- and we’ve spread salt everywhere.”
