There are now three high school basketball jobs open in Wilson County following Matt Bradshaw’s resignation earlier this week at Friendship Christian School. Bradshaw, 33, turned in his notice after seven seasons at FCS, winning at least 20 games in a season five times for an overall record of 147-64.

A former point guard at Lebanon High and a collegiate golfer at Cumberland University, Bradshaw’s teams won three regular season district championships, two district tourna-ments, advanced to two TSSAA sectionals and his most re- cent team won the Region 4A tournament championship for the first time in the program’s history.

“My wife and I have three young children she stays at home with them,” Bradshaw said, “I really need to find a better financial situation -- be it coaching, administration or the private sector. My options are pretty much open right now.”

The FCS job opens up at a time when both the boys’ and girls’ jobs at Watertown High are being ad-vertised.

As was reported in The Post back on March 3, Watertown boys’ coach T.J. Hewitt stepped down from his post after his team was eliminated in the region 4A tournament. Hewitt, who will remain of the Watertown faculty and will assist with the foot-ball program, had a record of 36-43 in three year in- cluding a mark of 12-14 this past season.

The Watertown girl’s job is also open. Principal Jeff Luttrell coached the team this past season on an interim basis after John Palmer resigned in the fall.
