MT. JULIET -- Wilson Central was its own worst enemy Tuesday night as nine Wildcat errors helped Mt. Juliet to a 12-2 win District 9AAA win. The Golden Bears of Coach Mark Purvis improved to 13-2 oveall and 2-0 in the district. Central fell to 0-2 in league play.

Jake Harper (1-1) picked up the pitching decision, struck out eight and scattered six hits. Allen Ecton absorbed the loss. Harper helped his own cause with a two-run HR in the bottom of the fifth. Logan Dalton had two run-scoring singles and Caleb Chowbay singled, doubled and scored two runs.

The two teams go at it again tonight in a 7 p.m. game at Wilson Central.

FCS 15, Trousdale Co. 1
HARTSVILLE -- Friendship Christian improved to 12-2-1 overall and 4-0 in District 8A play Tuesday with a 15-1 win at Trousdale County High. The Commanders pounded out 15 hits -- led by a perfect 4-for-4 by Drew Erie. Chris Hall and Matt Goodner added three hits apiece.

Mitch Miller (2-1) picked up the pitching decision, scattering four hits with six strikeouts.

FCS plays at Class AAA Cookeville High today in a 4 p.m. game.
