PADUCAH, Ky. - On the first day of the 2010 McDonald’s TranSouth Baseball Conference Tournament, the counference released the 2010 TranSouth Baseball Postseason honors. Cumberland University’s Matt Greener was named the TranSouth Player of the Year, while Cumberland skipper Woody Hunt was named the Coach of the Year. Greener, a senior from Jupiter, FL, is hitting over .500 for the season and leads the NAIA with 25 home runs. Hunt, in his 29th season as head coach of the Bulldogs, led his team to a 17-2 TranSouth Conference record and a regular season mark of 46-8. The postseason honors included 17 first team player. Cumberland, the regular season champion and the NAIA's No. 2 ranked team, led the way with eight first team selections. Union University, the regular season runner up, followed with five first team players. Martin Methodist College and Bethel University had two each.
