Two time Sun Belt Player of the Year Alysha Clark has signed with Rishon in the Israeli professional basketball league for the upcoming season.

Clark, who was named TSSAA Miss Basketball following her senior season at Mt. Juliet High, will depart for Israel Oct. 1. Rishon is an expansion squad in the 10-team Israeli Division 1 league.

Clark was selected as the 2010 Sun Belt Female Student-Athlete of the Year earlier this summer. She finished 2009-10 as the nation’s leading scorer for the second-straight season with a Sun Belt and school-record 28.3 ppg average after leading Middle Tennessee to a 25-6 record and NCAA Tournament berth.

A finalist for the State Farm Wade Trophy and John R. Wooden Award - given to the nation’s top player - Clark was chosen 17th overall by the San Antonio Silver Stars in the WNBA Draft this spring, but was released before the 2010 season.
