Turkey shoot -- A turkey shoot, sponsored by the Gladeville Community Center and the Gladeville Men’s Club, will run on Sundays through Dec. 4. Starting time is 1 p.m. at the Gladeville Community Center. For information, call Tommy Knowles at 443-4522 or Earl Ray at 604-5735.

Junior pro basketball -- Final signups for City of Lebanon Jr. Pro Basketball will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Harold D. Greer Building in the Baird Park Complex. Early registration is presently being accepted between the hours of &:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The league is for boys and girls age six through eighth grade. Children must be at least six years old by Aug. 1, 2011. Registration fee is $40, and a copy of child's birth certificate. Call Nancy Lee at 449-0303.

Airborne volleyball meeting -- Airborne Volleyball Club will hold its final information meeting 6 p.m.. Wednesday, Oct 19, at Carroll Oakland School. Airborne VBC is a regional volleyball program affiliated with USA Volleyball.  The meeting is open to all parents and players who would like to know more about playing volleyball on the club level. Airborne Volleyball Club tryouts will be Saturday, Oct. 29 at Wilson Central High School. Tryouts are open to all girls ages 12-18. LHS basketball tickets -- General admission season passes for 2011-2012 varsity basketball games at Lebanon High are currently on sale for $40.  The passes include admission to 10 regular season home contests -- not including the Nov. 15 home-opener vs. Macon County -- a TSSAA Hall of Fame game. MJ softball camp -- Mt. Juliet High softball coach Brad Rowlett will hold a one day camp for girls in grades K-8 Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Lady Bears’ softball field. The camp will be held 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. with a cost of $40 per camper. Campers should wear shorts, t-shirts and cleats. Please bring your own water and equipment.
