LADY BEARS THUMP MAPLEWOOD
ANTIOCH -- Mt. Juliet's Lady Bears rolled to an easy 84-21 victory over Maplewood High Wednesday in the 7th annual LeRoy Wright / Civitan Tournament at Cane Ridge High Wednesday evening.

Senior post Caya Williams led the way with 18 points while ninth grader Jamasha Jackson added 12. Barianne Taylor, Sydney Rau and Sally McCabe each had 10 points as MJHS improved to 3-0 on the season.

MJHS was to play Hillsboro Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the tournament semifinals.

MJ BOYS WIN EASILY
The Golden Bears of Coach Troy Allen hammered Antioch 70-50  Wednesday in their Civitan Tournament opener.

Chandler Frazier drilled four 3-pointers en route to a game-high 22 points as Mt. Juliet improved to 1-2 on the season.

C.J. McEwen had 17 points while DaShawn McMurry added 14 and T.J. Bell had 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

The Bears will play Hillsboro Friday at 1 p.m. in the tournament semifinals.

WATERTOWN GIRLS FALL
CHAPEL HILL -- Watertown High's girls dropped to 3-1 on the season following Wednesday afternoon's 49-40 loss to Loretto in the opening round of the Forrest Thanksgiving Classic.

Margan Gartner had 22 points for the Tigerettes while Hayley Clark had eight and Jordan Brewington nine.

Watertown was in action Friday morning vs. Summit in a consolation bracket game.
