Monday was a busy evening for two Wilson County high school programs as Watertown hosted Eagleville from Rutherford County and Friendship Christian visited District 8A rival Gordonsville. Matt Bradshaw's Purple Tigers had little trouble disposing of Eagleville as his team rolled to an early 22-9 lead. KeAnDre Bates paced Watertown with 17 points and Josiah Smith added 15. The girl's game found Eagleville downing Watertown 56-47. Morgan Gartner had 16 in the loss for the Tigerettes. Tuesday night action finds Watertown at Red Boiling Springs. FCS SPLITS AT GORDONSVILLE -- The Commanders had a much easier time in the nightcap, dusting the Tigers 67-45. FCS raced to a 44-25 lead at intermission and was never threatened in the second half. Dalton Patterson had 17 for the Commanders; Mark Sandoval 15 and Allen Heaston 14. FCS will play at Westmoreland on Tuesday, Jan. 24. |
