FRANKLIN -- Wilson Central's wrestling team ran into a buzzsaw in Friday's opening match of the TSSAA State Dual Tournament at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center.

The Wildcats were blitzed 60-3 by powerful Soddy Daisy. Ninth grader John Kramer was the only WC wrestler to record a win as he decisioned Billy Swanson 12-6 in the 220-pound class.

Later on Friday, Central rebounded with a lopsided 71-6 victory over Knoxville Powell in the first round of the consolation bracket.

Wilson Central was eliminated by Ravenwood Saturday in the second round of the consolation bracket by a score of 38-30.
