LEBANON -- Friendship Christian School football supporters managed to mix in a dose of real life with their “Ultimate Tailgate Event” Saturday evening, March 3.

Commander fans celebrated their team winning the 2011 Class 2A BlueCross Bowl with the presentation of championship rings to players and coaches.

While raising funds to pay for the rings, supporters generated in excess of $8,000 to aid the family of FCS ninth grader Zac Anderson, who is battling cancer.

A malignant tumor found near his spine has been diagnosed by Vanderbilt Children's Hospital as Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer.

For information on helping the Anderson family call Friendship Christian School at 449-1573.
