Nolan Allison whiffs 19 as Watertown High blanks RBS 8-0 PDF Print E-mail

RED BOILING SPRINGS -- Nolan Allison threw a complete game two-hitter and struck out 19 as Watertown High defeated Red Boiling Springs 8-0 Monday afternoon.alt

The freshman righthander (pictured, right) didn't walk a batter as he recorded his first victory of the season.

Allison helped his own cause with a pair of hits, Dennie Holcomb added two and catcher Logan Grantham blasted a solo homer in the bottom of the sixth inning -- his first of the season.

The Tigers (2-1 / 1-0 in Dsitrict 8A) finished with eight hits, scoring once in the bottom of the first, five in the fifth and tacked on single runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

Watertown High is scheduled to host undefeated (4-0) Friendship Christian Tuesday in a 4 p.m. district game at Three Forks Park.

Later in the week, Watertown will travel to Kentucky to play in the Murray Classic.
