CHATTANOOGA -- Friendship Christian stormed through Lookout Valley's Yellow Jacket Classic over the weekend, rolling up four consecutive wins en route to the championship.

The Commanders defeated rival Boyd-Buchanan 17-1 in Saturday's tournament finals, improving to 17-1 on the season headed into Tuesday night's District 8A home game vs. Trousdale County.

Senior Drew Erie was named tournament MVP while Hunter Watts, Austin Godwin and Brennan Swindoll were voted to the all-tournament team.

FCS reached the finals with a 4-0 victory over Columbia Academy in the semifinals. On Friday, Friendship clubbed South Pittsburg 15-3 and defeated Cincinatti Hills 7-0. The Commanders opened tournament play with a 12-3 win Thursda vs. Cascade.

HUME-FOGG 10, LEBANON 4 --
LEBANON --
Hume-Fogg's Adam Wyse threw a six hitter Monday night, lifting his team to a 10-4 victory over Lebanon Monday night at Veterans Field.

Leftfielder Dillon Hulse paced the LHS offense with a pair of singles.

LHS is scheduled to host District 9AAA rival Mt. Juliet tonight in a 7 p.m. game at Veterans Field.

FCS 15, South Pittsburg 3
CHATTANOOGA -- Austin Godwin was a busy man in Friday's 15-3 victory over South Pittsburg in the Yellow Jacket Classic, hosted by Lookout Valley High.

Godwin had four hits, two for extra bases, and picked up the pitching decision striking out eight batters. He allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks over seven innings.

Drew Erie, Hunter Watts, Brennan Swindoll, Stefan Remus, Connor Gaines, Tanner Martin, Kyle Wood, Michael Hawks, and Godwin all collected hits for Fcs.
