PREP BASEBALL - FCS tops Macon County 6-0 PDF Print E-mail

LEBANON -- Senior Kyle Wood tossed a complete game two-hitter and Cale Mitchell drilled a two-run homer over the leftfield wall in the bottom of the fourth as Friendship Christian blanked Macon County High 6-0 Monday afternoon.

Brennan Swindoll added an RBI single in the fifth, scoring Wood from second base. The win was the 21st in a row for the Commanders. FCS has added a Thursday afternoon home game vs. Hendersonville High to the schedule. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.

Clarksville 3, Wilson Central 0 --
CLARKSVILLE -- Ethan Nehus only allowed one earned run, but his Wilson Central teammates scratched out just one hit in Monday's 3-0 loss at Clarksville High.

Mt. Juliet 2, White House 0 --
MT. JULIET -- The Golden Bears pushed across single runs in the second and third in Monday's 2-0 home victory over White House High.

Josh Smith (5-0) and Logan Johnston combined to limit the Blue Devils to just two hits on the night. Johnston earned his first save of the season in relief. Mt. Juliet managed just five hits against White House pitching.

Lebanon High will close out the regular season Tuesday evening on the road at Warren County High in McMinnville. The Blue Devils will open play in the District 9AAA tournament Friday vs. host Gallatin High at Municipal Park.
