Watertown 11, Jackson Co. 1 -- Freshman infielder Austin Brown paced the offense with a two-for-three effort -- both doubles. Brothers Chase Maedor (senior) and Dusty Meador (freshman) pitched, with Dusty earning the decision. The Purple Tigers, now 11-11-1 overall, will take on RBS tonight in a 6 p.m. game at Friendship Christian School. The winner advances to the double-elimination portion of the District 8A tournament while the loser is eliminated. Friendship 11, Hendersonville 1 -- The win upped Friendship's record to 31-2 headed into Monday's opening round of the District 8A tournament. Junior lefty Caleb Snider (6-1) threw a five-inning two-hitter, striking out three and walking one. ON WEDNESDAY -- Friendship Christian’s 24-game winning streak was snapped as Goodpasture topped the Commanders 3-0 in Madison.
