Local athletes compete in TSSAA track sectionals at Brentwood High PDF Print E-mail

Athletes from both Lebanon High and Mt. Juliet will be competing Wednesday and Thursday in the TSSAA sectional meet at Brentwood High. Field events and the 3200 meters are Wednesday. Running finals are set for Thursday.

Lebanon High's Shaq Cragwall qualified for the sectional in three events -- high jump, long jump and triple jump over the weekend at the subsectional at Brentwood High.

Cragwall set a new school record in winning the triple jump at 46'3 1/4". He tied for first in the high jump at 6'4" and finished fourth in the long jump at 21'3 1/4".

Lebanon's Xavier Neal qualified with a fifth place finish in the 400 meters at 50.54. Aisha Springette tied for fourth place in the high jump at 4'8" and qualified.

In the subsectional at Kenwood High, Mt. Juliet's  Daniel Stegall won both the 110 (15.2) and 300 (39.45) hurdles to qualify for the sectional.

Junior Elijah Wilson won the 800 meters with a time of 2:05 while the Bears' 4 X 400 relay team (Daniel Stegall, Mickey Fils, Elijah Wilson and Austin Chaplin) finished third in 3:36.44.

Jordan Lamberson finished fourth and qualifies for Brentwood with a time of 1:00.63 in the girls’ 400.
