Kiwanis 11-12's eliminated Tuesday
HARTSVILLE -- Lebanon’s Kiwanis Little League 11-12 all-stars were eliminated from district tournament play Tuesday night with a 20-4 loss to Smith County at the City Park.

One night earlier on Monday, the local team ousted Lafayette 12-8. The Lebanon squad fell into the losers’ bracket with a 16-2 drubbing at the hands of Gallatin on Saturday -- then waited an extra 24 hours to hit the field due to wet weather and lightning in Trousdale County.

The Lebanon Kiwanis 9-10 all-stars were bounced out of tournament play Monday following a 2-0 loss to Lafayette -- stranding a pair of base runners in the sixth inning.

Kiwanis dropped their tournament opener 12-8 Saturday to Gallatin.

Rotary Dixie Minors play Wednesday
LAKEWOOD -- The Lebanon Rotary Dixie Minors (9-10) National League all-stars remained in the hunt for a berth in the state tournament  after going 3-1 to open play in the District 4 tournament.

The Nationals won three straight in the district, a 12-6 victory over White House; a 10-0 blanking of host Lakewood and a 6-4 win over Greenbrier.

Lebanon lost to Ashland City 12-2 Monday night -- forcing a return match with Greenbrier tonight (Wednesday) with a trip to next week’s state tournament in the balance.

The Rotary Dixie Minors American League all-stars dropped two straight games in the District 4 tournament at Lakewood -- falling 13-6 to Greenbrier and 13-5 to Ashland City.
Dixie Majors play Friday

Lebanon’s Rotary Dixie Majors (11-12) all-stars open play in the OZone state tournament 2 p.m. Friday vs. Lookout Mountain. The 16-team, double-elimination tournament will be contested at Travis Price Park in Springfield.

Lebanon goes in as the District 4 tournament champion after having defeated Pleasant View 11-6 Thursday, July 5 in Adams.
